Marketers should target customers that share a lot on social networks. Or not! I found it interesting that Twitter and Facebook were in the bottom 5 list of influences for the social consumer. I would have expected it to be different. Search results, brand websites and online adds are all more important. This is one example of data going contrary to my own belief.
Online Adds Are More Important Than Social Networking For Consumers? Huh?

Interesting! I have always felt that sites like facebook etc are at best just a component of an online strategy. The reason is that when people are searching for information on a product/service they are more influenced by review sites etc. Facebook is primarily used for leisure, therefore the consumer is not as focused on buying. That said I believe that a wide range of social media must be employed. Great information thanks.

That makes sense. Facebook and Twitter are only a (small) part of an online strategy. Thanks for reading and commenting.
