Dryad: Scientific Data Repository

Earlier, I posted about Scientific Data, but unfortunately the site does not host any of the data.

Enter Dryad, data hosting is exactly what the site does. The site hosts opendata and any other digital artifacts associated with a research project. Plus the site provides a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for citing the the artifacts in research papers.

    Hi Ryan,

I just wanted to let you know that Scientific Data is working closely with Dryad. Dryad only accepts and hosts datasets associated with peer-reviewed publications; publishing a data descriptor at Scientific Data will satisfy this requirement. In addition our peer-review process will be focused on data quality and we will provide in-house metadata curation, supplementing the services offered by Dryad. We are in the process of finalizing our contract with Dryad, and we will then be listed as one of Dryad’s “integrated journals.”
